Kenia Nairobi Stadt 1 in Africa

Ah...Life

Ah...Life. Sometimes we do a bit of soul searching. We think about our lives and reflect on whether we are on the right path. Are we just a small raft floating in the vast ocean letting the currents, sometimes gently stroking you along other times a gigantic wave violently throwing you in all directions. Or..are we a powerfull ship heading to a predefined destination...I wonder. Yeah metaphors they can be dramatic sometimes. I don't have the answers but these questions just keep popping up in my head..I'm really seeking answers from you, I'm in my zone sharing my thoughts with the world...see you tommorrow.

Impunity...a new defination!

My heart bleeds....there are too many hungry people who have nothing and I can't feed then...I wish I could, I would I swear. The young child soo thin..soo desparate, clinging unto the bones that are what is left of the mother. A mother despairing and awaiting the inevitable horror of watching her succumb one after the other to the pangs of hunger...they will die...as we watch on TV..in out little comfort zones oblivious of the fact that this is happening less than 20 kilometres from Nairobi.

It could have been prevented....it can be prevented...but we do nothing! whatever little we do we make sure the whole world knows how generous we are....sickening but true. We drive down to wherever in our monster four wheel drive truck. Dressed in our trendy jeans corporate branded t-shirts with sunglasses as accesories,  pose for the cameras with a couple of packets of maize flour and leave in a huff as if the sight of the starving families reminds you of your expensive over indulgings..We drive back to Nairobi stopping at some Resort where we have our lunch of succulent roasted goat meat with a couple of beers to drain it down. The cost of that lunch of four people can feed the starving familes for a whole month...hmmm food for thought..

I'm sorry if I'm too critical but the reality is that we are no better than the polticians who connive to steal the maize from our national stores.

Mama Lucy and Jose Mourinho

Mama Lucy and Jose Mourinho have one thing in common the are both arrogant. We need less people like them in this world. Honestly the world can do with less abuse of power and rubbing of artificial success on our noses.

It's gotta change!

Is killing in our Nature?

Its a family weekend over at my sisters house. The clan is settled in the living room after a rather hectic but absolutely enjoyable day, we are watching TV as we chat away the evening...hmmm..its an ideal setting, perfect. The whole family is there......mama, my sisters, brother inlaws and my little nieces and nephews. Sweet kids....and very intuitive. There's something on the news about US warplanes dropping bombs on some family inIraq, I quickly flip the channel and...its mungiki beheading a family somewhere in Karatina., I flip once more and yeah true to form the Islamist in Pakistan are killing civilians in Mumbai. I switch off the TV...theres silence for a split second then the chatting begins as if it hadn't stopped. It's the same stuff we see on TV everyday and somehow everyone is numb to what is happening there.

Arnold one of my nephews (6 year cuddles up to me and says 'Jomba...?'(that's uncle where I come from) 'Why do people kill each other?'.....

Black and White, Blue and Red?

Well who is it going to be? I'm thousands of miles away from it all and guess what?...... I have just finished watching Bush/Kerry III.

Why? Umm look at it this way the guy who ends up leading the country of the stars and stripes can really make a huge difference in the world I live in. No shit that nobody likes it but its the absolute truth. It's not a good thing nor is it bad, its just the way it is.

Do I care who's elected....Yes
Do they care for my country....Absolutely not!
Does it matter who's in the 'white house'......hell yes!

Why?....Simple. Bush comes into the 'white house' and all hell breaks loose. Maybe he has all the right to go after Sadam, Osama, et al but what are the consequences to me, my country and millions like me? Tragic! Can't get a job because of my faith, can't travel and can't drive (sky rocketing gas prices etc). Tragic! The whole world seems to have gone insane...there's killing everywhere..Iraq, Afghanistan, Dafur, Nigeria, New York etc.

Kerry..will he be different? Let's put it this way....It can't get any worse than it is right? Anybody else but Bush! I doubt whether the civilised world can survive another Bush term, there's already too much killing, too much hatred....It is time for healing the wounds and let the true human spirit take pride of place in the world..huh? Ok what I mean is let the good in the world shine over the darkness that have engulfed the world since 2000.

Is it for Real?

Everyone's dying...left right and centre.

Ever ask yourself why?

In Africa they die for not eating enough food.

In the West they die for over eating.

Well??
